On Thursday, five new ambassadors officially presented their letters of credence to Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume during formal audiences at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City. HGD Guillaume received the ambassadors one after the other for the traditional ceremonies, which included the presentation of their letter of appointment as well as the letter of recall of their predecessor.

The diplomats taking up their new posts were Enrique Miguel Franco Maciel of the Republic of Paraguay, Geela Ali of the Republic of Maldives, Montoetsi Mohatonyane of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Muzaffar Mahmurod Huseinzoda of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Rahim Hayat Qureshi of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The credential ceremonies mark the formal beginning of each ambassador's mission in Luxembourg and reflect the strengthening of diplomatic ties between the Grand Duchy and their respective nations.
