Live stream: North Carolina, South Carolina leaders launch new effort to fight fentanyl trafficking
NC attorney general said fentanyl is “devastating the United States”
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Leaders from North Carolina and South Carolina came together Monday morning to launch a new effort to fight fentanyl trafficking and money laundering.
N.C. Attorney General Jeff Jackson and S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson talked about the effort during a news conference in Charlotte -- which was streamed live in this story. It can be rewatched down below.

The attorneys general discussed how to confront the high-tech tools that money launderers and traffickers use, and will be joined by members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
In a news release, Jackson’s office said fentanyl is “devastating the United States,” and that state attorneys general are working closely with local, state and federal law enforcement to stop the drug’s spread.
