For Donald Tusk, it is a question of whether he will have a free hand or whether he will become a lame duck as head of government even before the halfway point. Outgoing President Duda has made it difficult for the liberal camp to implement his agenda. The fight for the presidency is mainly being fought between two candidates: Rafał Trzaskowski from Tusk’s liberal Civic Platform (PO) and Karol Nawrocki, who is supported by Law and Justice (PiS).
