NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N’Dranou is confident that security during the APEC meetings will be managed effectively.

Mr N’Dranou said his vision towards the preparation for APEC security, will effectively see a bigger spotlight on NCD.

“I have stated my vision to the APEC planning team, that to ensure its success by the police led operation, will stem from our greater focus on NCD.

“We will make NCD environmentally conducive in terms of safety,” said Mr N’Dranou.

With more important meetings and national events to take place before the leaders’ summit in November.

Superintendent operations, Michael Tamari has been tasked to plan an operation for that purpose, to ensure that NCD is conducive to hosing the leaders’ summit before November.

Mr N’Dranou said preparing well for other meetings and national events before the summit will determine whether such leaders like US President Donald Trump will attend the meeting.

The police force will be concentrating on public places where criminal activities are prone, by increasing police visibility.

Also, there will be insertion operations in certain areas, that are deemed to be safe havens for criminals.
